My version of Chuck Berry's Johnny B. Goode. A Ynot tribute..

Deep down in Florida close to las olas beach
Way back up in Ravenswoods among the freight train scene
There stood his cabin made of earth and wood
Where lived a city boy named Jonny B Hood
Who never ever thought school was swell
But he could paint up a wall just like ringin' a bell, go go!
Go Jonny go go
Go Jonny go go
Go Jonny go go
Go Jonny go go.. Jonny B Hood

He used to carry his paint in a jansport bag
Go paint beneath a tree by the railroad track
Oh!, the engineer would see him painting in the shade
Bombin' with the funky styles he made
People passin' by they would stop and say
'Oh my, how that little city boy can paint, go go!
Go Jonny go go
Go Jonny go go
Go Jonny go go
Go Jonny go go.. Jonny B Hood

His mother told him 'Someday you will be a man
and you will be a writer in a big ol' clan'
Many people commin' from miles around
To see you paint your pieces til' the sun go down
Maybe someday your name will be headlines
Sayin 'Jonny B Hood was here last night', go go!
Go Jonny go go
Go Jonny go go
Go Jonny go go
Go Jonny go go.. Jonny B. Hood
