Memories of Ynot
Today was a crazy day, so hard to say goodbye to our little brother, but sharing our memories of YNOT with the homies today was some real good medicine. I hope all the homies use this blog as an outlet to share memories of our friend.
The picture below was the last time I got to hit the streets with niz and I just wanted to let everyone know what kinda dude he really was...
I linked up with Crome & Ynot at the wall of fame during Basel in 08', I was hyped to see Crome rocking the spot we took way back in the day.
Ynot was there for the whole shit backing Crome up, just working on Crome's piece making him look good, cleaning his shit up and just really helping get that shit done, man I was so hyped I told Crome like yo, I got a spot that we need to rock tonight, ynot was down to roll with us for the whole mission, when we finally got up to the spot that night I was really feeling the rust, it had been too long for me out the game to step up to rock a spot like that, without a word Ynot stepped up for me and helped lace that shit for me, to be honest, I was basically helping him do my shit half the time, not to many writers are willing to get down like that pushing someone elses shit and not even get any fame for themself, most writers are some fame hungry selfish mutha fuckas when it comes to bombing, only a down ass homie like YNOT would even do some shit like that.
When we was almost finished I told Y, yo man, you gotta put your name on this shit man, you been killing yourself for us all damn day! I told him to smash the 95 sign that he painted with a big ass YNOT tag, and he didnt even wanna do it just so me and Crome could get all the fame, I made him put that shit on there and im glad I did. He held us down that night like he did so many other times in so many differet ways for some many different people.
Sorry for the long ass story, I just wanted to show the people that didnt know him one tiny small example of how fucking down for his friends and family YNOT was. When you drive around town and you see all the Ynot tags and RIP YNOT's just know the person that did it got like 100 more stories just like this, Ynot was really good dude, and a great friend to all of us lucky enuff to call him a real friend.
I miss him.
We all miss him.
Thanks for catching my back lil homie, I'ma hold you down as long as im in these streets.
King YNOT Forever Young.
