MIAMI, Florida (June 10, 2010)- ABSTRAK and DoTheLiteThing (Patrick DeAbreu)invite you to take a journey into the unique minds of two emerging artists through a visually stimulating installation of lights, 3-D illusions, a vast array of colors, and interactive art. From the neon lights to the grit behind the scenes, Visual Intercourse, presented by Stash Gallery, offers a surreal display of common objects and familiar places with Miami serving as the inspiration.
The concept for the show materialized after the two artists collaborated on an illuminated sound activated art piece, with ABSTRAK laying the foundation through the paint, and Patrick, implementing the light and technology. Both Artists’ work can be seen in the upcoming season of the Oxygen Network’s reality television show, Bad Girls Club.
Initially inspired ny illuminating apparel, DoTheLiteThing transitions into the art world with his premiere, offering a fresh urban perspective through a burgeoning medium.
ABSTRAK, exploring his “stylisms” and the characters he paints, transforms his graffiti influenced art to canvas while continuing to express his style through murals. Selected by Gibson to customize an electric guitar auctioned off at the Hard Rock Casino,ABSTRAK’s work has also been seen at art shows such as Primary Flight during Art Basel and through a vast array of street level installations throughout Wynwood and the Design District.
Set to the musical stylings of Madame Turk, Visual Intercourse guarantees an electric show catering to audiences seeking a raw and colorful experience. The event takes place July 10th from 7-11pm at Stash Gallery located at 162 NE 50th Terrace, Miami, Fl.
